As we come to the end of International Women’s Day 2021, I thought it was a good time to reflect and to big up some of the strongest, inspirational and beautiful women I learn from daily.
This year has brought complexity to my life that I had never even considered before, fortunately I am able to work from home as well as I can in the office and field. Other women who I admire hugely were not so fortunate.
I have this year, had to juggle multiple roles. Those of a mother, a teacher, a homemaker, a partner and while doing all of this still hold down a full-time job. I love the amount of compassion women instinctively have for those around them, and I have felt that compassion from so many of you daily, that I am celebrating today.
However, as women, we often doubt our ability to really do it all. I could argue that women should not put so much pressure on themselves, this however would make me a hypocrite as I am the worst for doing just this.
Wherever you are and whatever you do, just know that your best is enough, and your best is all anyone can ask of you. I would also like to add on this day dedicated to women, that many of us have the loyal and unwavering support of men, whether that be professionally or personally and they also deserve recognition today for that.
